A group of clerics has been employed for each side. Throughout the battle they are praying to their gods for your safety and well being. And when that doesn't work they will bring you back to life in your hallow by channeling their deities power. But such spells don't come cheep. The gods demand a life for a life. You must kill one of your enemies within a certain number of rounds to bring one the fallen back to life.

Because kicking the bucket usually hurts your foot, you come back with only 50% unmodified hp.
